libreoffice-fresh only contains /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/config/images_breeze.zip

so if the user chose breeze dark as icon theme, libreoffice will default to oxygen icons.

breeze upstream also contains dark icons, which can be packaged trivially: https://github.com/aitorpazos/archlinux-libreoffice-breeze-icons/blob/master/libreoffice-breeze-icons-src/Makefile

I don't get it. I can choose "breeze" icons that are shown here well. No "breeze dark" choice here.

This looks pretty ok to me:

ls -lha /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/config/images*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 960K 27. Aug 18:26 /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/config/images_breeze.zip
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2,3M 27. Aug 18:26 /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/config/images_galaxy.zip
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 856K 27. Aug 18:26 /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/config/images_hicontrast.zip
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1,9M 27. Aug 18:26 /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/config/images_oxygen.zip
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 486K 27. Aug 18:26 /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/config/images_sifr.zip
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7,1M 27. Aug 18:26 /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/config/images_tango.zip

that’s the point. the breeze-dark icons are included in the repository https://github.com/NitruxSA/breeze-icon-theme

they just have to be packaged to be available in libreoffice.

Arch will never package stuff that isn't intended to be included by upstream. So won't implement. Use AUR to add your desired icon set.
