DetailsWhen changes are made in packages that require some changes in configuration, pacman usually prints a message telling you what to do as the new package is installed. Unfortunately, these messages can easily be missed when doing a large number of updates in one go. This happened to me recently with respect to setting the correct locale, as I did not know that I needed to enable my locale in /etc/locale.gen, and generate it with locale-gen.
Could we make pacman append its non-standard messages in a log file (with date), so they can be examined later? |
