Description:
Touchpad and Trackpoint stops working randomly , and sometimes doesnt work from startup only , the pointer also starts jumping from time to time.

can be fixed temporarily by reloading the psmouse module .

Steps to reproduce:
No exact steps are there , its a very sporadic problem and makes the use of the laptop very hard . Temporarily have assigned a shortcut key for "sudo modprobe -r psmouse;sudo modprobe psmouse resync_time=10".

Can you please let me know if this is still an issue or if it has been resolved since then. Please also specify if you are using xf86-input-evdev or xf86-input-libinput if you are still experiencing an issue. Thank you!
