DetailsDescription:
Touchpad and Trackpoint stops working randomly , and sometimes doesnt work from startup only , the pointer also starts jumping from time to time. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. can be fixed temporarily by reloading the psmouse module . $cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-synaptics.conf Section "InputClass" Identifier "touchpad catchall" Driver "synaptics" MatchIsTouchpad "on" MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*" Option "TapButton1" "1" Option "TapButton2" "2" Option "TapButton3" "3" Option "VertEdgeScroll" "on" Option "HorizEdgeScroll" "off" EndSection $ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-thinkpad.conf Section "InputClass" Identifier "Trackpoint Wheel Emulation" MatchProduct "TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint|DualPoint Stick|Synaptics Inc. Composite TouchPad / TrackPoint|ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint|USB Trackpoint pointing device" MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*" Option "EmulateWheel" "true" Option "EmulateWheelButton" "2" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "false" Option "XAxisMapping" "6 7" Option "YAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection Steps to reproduce: No exact steps are there , its a very sporadic problem and makes the use of the laptop very hard . Temporarily have assigned a shortcut key for "sudo modprobe -r psmouse;sudo modprobe psmouse resync_time=10". |
