Description:
I have bought a Corsair SABRE RGB Mouse weeks ago. When I plug-in it into usb port, it begins to respond after 30 seconds. Then it's working properly. This is what happens (dmesg log): [ 3.171922] mousedev: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice [ 3.205812] input: Corsair Corsair Gaming SABRE RGB Laser Mouse as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-9/3-9.1/3-9.1.4/3-9.1.4:1.0/0003:1B1C:1B19.0008/input/input28 [ 3.222313] hid-generic 0003:1B1C:1B19.0008: input,hidraw7: USB HID v1.11 Mouse [Corsair Corsair Gaming SABRE RGB Laser Mouse] on usb-0000:00:14.0-9.1.4/input0 [ 5.309395] e1000e: eno1 NIC Link is Up 1000 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: None [ 5.309425] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eno1: link becomes ready [ 13.218350] hid-generic 0003:1B1C:1B19.0009: usb_submit_urb(ctrl) failed: -1 [ 13.218364] hid-generic 0003:1B1C:1B19.0009: timeout initializing reports [ 13.218429] input: Corsair Corsair Gaming SABRE RGB Laser Mouse as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-9/3-9.1/3-9.1.4/3-9.1.4:1.1/0003:1B1C:1B19.0009/input/input29 [ 13.269853] hid-generic 0003:1B1C:1B19.0009: input,hidraw8: USB HID v1.11 Mouse [Corsair Corsair Gaming SABRE RGB Laser Mouse] on usb-0000:00:14.0-9.1.4/input1 [ 23.265838] hid-generic 0003:1B1C:1B19.000A: timeout initializing reports [ 23.266043] hid-generic 0003:1B1C:1B19.000A: hiddev0,hidraw9: USB HID v1.11 Device [Corsair Corsair Gaming SABRE RGB Laser Mouse] on usb-0000:00:14.0-9.1.4/input2 [ 33.260477] hid-generic 0003:1B1C:1B19.000B: timeout initializing reports [ 33.260567] hid-generic 0003:1B1C:1B19.000B: hiddev0,hidraw10: USB HID v1.11 Device [Corsair Corsair Gaming SABRE RGB Laser Mouse] on usb-0000:00:14.0-9.1.4/input3 Additional info: * lsusb -vv output: Bus 003 Device 011: ID 1b1c:1b19 Corsair Device Descriptor: bLength 18 bDescriptorType 1 bcdUSB 2.00 bDeviceClass 0 bDeviceSubClass 0 bDeviceProtocol 0 bMaxPacketSize0 64 idVendor 0x1b1c Corsair idProduct 0x1b19 bcdDevice 1.19 iManufacturer 1 Corsair iProduct 2 Corsair Gaming SABRE RGB Laser Mouse iSerial 3 0D038036AE3B94035374818DF5001940 bNumConfigurations 1 Configuration Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 2 wTotalLength 116 bNumInterfaces 4 bConfigurationValue 1 iConfiguration 0 bmAttributes 0xa0 (Bus Powered) Remote Wakeup MaxPower 300mA Interface Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 4 bInterfaceNumber 0 bAlternateSetting 0 bNumEndpoints 1 bInterfaceClass 3 Human Interface Device bInterfaceSubClass 1 Boot Interface Subclass bInterfaceProtocol 2 Mouse iInterface 0 HID Device Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 33 bcdHID 1.11 bCountryCode 0 Not supported bNumDescriptors 1 bDescriptorType 34 Report wDescriptorLength 58 Report Descriptors: ** UNAVAILABLE ** Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x81 EP 1 IN bmAttributes 3 Transfer Type Interrupt Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0008 1x 8 bytes bInterval 8 Interface Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 4 bInterfaceNumber 1 bAlternateSetting 0 bNumEndpoints 1 bInterfaceClass 3 Human Interface Device bInterfaceSubClass 0 bInterfaceProtocol 0 iInterface 0 HID Device Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 33 bcdHID 1.11 bCountryCode 0 Not supported bNumDescriptors 1 bDescriptorType 34 Report wDescriptorLength 99 Report Descriptors: ** UNAVAILABLE ** Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x82 EP 2 IN bmAttributes 3 Transfer Type Interrupt Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x000a 1x 10 bytes bInterval 1 Interface Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 4 bInterfaceNumber 2 bAlternateSetting 0 bNumEndpoints 1 bInterfaceClass 3 Human Interface Device bInterfaceSubClass 0 bInterfaceProtocol 0 iInterface 0 HID Device Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 33 bcdHID 1.11 bCountryCode 0 Not supported bNumDescriptors 1 bDescriptorType 34 Report wDescriptorLength 21 Report Descriptors: ** UNAVAILABLE ** Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x83 EP 3 IN bmAttributes 3 Transfer Type Interrupt Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0040 1x 64 bytes bInterval 1 Interface Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 4 bInterfaceNumber 3 bAlternateSetting 0 bNumEndpoints 2 bInterfaceClass 3 Human Interface Device bInterfaceSubClass 0 bInterfaceProtocol 0 iInterface 0 HID Device Descriptor: bLength 9 bDescriptorType 33 bcdHID 1.11 bCountryCode 0 Not supported bNumDescriptors 1 bDescriptorType 34 Report wDescriptorLength 21 Report Descriptors: ** UNAVAILABLE ** Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x84 EP 4 IN bmAttributes 3 Transfer Type Interrupt Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0040 1x 64 bytes bInterval 1 Endpoint Descriptor: bLength 7 bDescriptorType 5 bEndpointAddress 0x04 EP 4 OUT bmAttributes 3 Transfer Type Interrupt Synch Type None Usage Type Data wMaxPacketSize 0x0040 1x 64 bytes bInterval 1 can't get device qualifier: Resource temporarily unavailable can't get debug descriptor: Resource temporarily unavailable Device Status: 0x0000 (Bus Powered) * Kernel version: uname -r -m 4.1.6-1-ARCH x86_64 Steps to reproduce: Plug-in Corsair SABRE RGB Mouse |

When I plug-in usb mouse kernel boot time increases on 10sec.
See the topic: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=201812
Kernel version:
4.1.6-1-ARCH
Steps to reproduce:
1. Plug-in wireless usb mouse Venix G3000. Reboot. Check kernel boot time.
2. Unplug mouse. Reboot. Check kernel boot time.
hid-generic 0003:1B1C:1B13.0009: usb_submit_urb(ctrl) failed: -1
hid-generic 0003:1B1C:1B13.0009: timeout initializing reports
The workaround i used was to add usbhid.quirks=0x1B1C:0x1B13:0x20000000 to the kernel options.
