DetailsDuring general system cleanup and maintenance (-Qk/-Qdt, refreshing package groups, cleaning untracked/orphaned files and directories, checking users/groups/permissions, etc) I also searched for empty 'meta' packages (for PKG in $(pacman -Sql core extra community); do if [ -z "$(pkgfile -ql $PKG)" ]; then echo $PKG; fi; done) and I think that at least xorg-utils, xorg-server-utils and xorg-xkb-utils could be deleted from the repo.
I could file a bug against gtk-recordmydesktop in community to correct the lone xorg-utils dependency (qt-recordmydesktop has xorg-xwininfo). There's also xorg-font-utils, but with over 50 font packages depending on it that would be asking a bit much. |

Keeping would also be fine as these package don't require much work. But they are used pretty widely in our wiki. This would need further fixing of a few wiki pages.
Jan, do you see anything holding back their removal?
The only drawback so far is pacman unable to track groups but how often a new package is added to a group?
