Description:
efivar 0.20 is broken and can't be used to create a boot entry (with efibootmgr). Version 0.21, which is in testing since 2015-07-16, is fully functional as far as I know. Is there any reason to keep efivar 0.21 in testing?

Steps to reproduce:
Try to create an efi boot entry with "efibootmgr -c -u 'some options'" using efivar 0.20.

I got stuck during an Arch install with 0.20, just a few days ago, and had to upgrade to efivar 0.21, and then it worked. I've seen reports of this elsewhere, and I figure 0.21 should be moved to core.

Reproduced on:
Dell Inspiron 5720 17r
EFI v2.31 by Phoenix Technologies Ltd.
