The Plasma desktop removed out of the box support for legacy xembed system trays. In order for them to be supported the following packages need to be installed: Qt applications: sni-qt, lib32-sni-qt Gtk2 applications: libappindicator-gtk2 Gtk3 applications: libappindicator-gtk3 It would be nice if these packages would be listed as optional depends for plasma-workspace. Additional info: $ pacman -Qi plasma-workspace Name : plasma-workspace Version : 5.3.95-2 Description : KDE Plasma Workspace Architecture : x86_64 |

Besides, libappindicator is not even in the repos so it can't be in optdepends.
