Additional info:
* all versions of plasma 5 with Intel driver.(I don't know if mesa too)
* config and/or log files etc. Acceleration mode:sna and glamor composition of plasma5 in egl mode


Steps to reproduce: launch plasma 5 with egl mode and sna and glamour acceleration, every windows you open aren't go to show in the bar or if it is shown it will be after close the windows, and there are many bugs, like the selection of apps
I tried the git version of Intel driver and the bug of the windows is fixed but the bug of the app menu continues

I had similar symptoms, and for me it appears to be fixed with linux 4.2.1-1, mesa 11.0.0-3, xf86-video-intel 1:2.99.917+381+g5772556-1.

Has anyone reported this upstream? kwin developers are especially interested in EGL mode bugs. since they want to make it the default in the future.

It isn't the thing that has to do the admins? I don't know how to do this, ubuntu has problems with egl and hd4600 Intel too, but less, and with uxa the bugs are less big, but with sna... it is impossible to use for me, can you report upstream please?

I can't report it because I'm not affected by this bug so I can't provide the necessary info. Just report it in bugs.kde.org under the kwin product, and provide the information that the developers request

i am in mesa 11.1 and kernel 4.3.3-3 of arch and nothing.. kwin have the freezes with sna as same as before, and when i tried to activate dri 3 kwin is desactivated directly when I use EGL, i don't know why to others functions egl... any ideea?

This is Arch Linux. You are the admin. You seem to be the only one affected, so this is your task to report it upstream and give all required info. We can't help here. This is your task.

i am going to try in bugs.kde but i have to tell that this problem is in more pc's, i have installed manjaro that uses older versions of kernel, kwin, etc but the same thing is being passed in this computer, I don't think the problem is only mine cause the other pc was a notebook.. mine is desktop, differents igpu's, in Kwin Egl mode isn't functioning well in any computer, i have tried amd graphic with open source drivers and egl is corrupted too, this time with other pc i have with igpu amd

in the bug tracker there was the bug, it is supposed to be fixed by dri3 but when you have mesa 11.1 there are other problem that has blocked my compositor, it is reported too

This is not an Arch packaging issue. So please get in touch with either kwin or mesa upstream devs!
