A security issue [1] has been found in the 3GP parser of VLC <= 2.2.1, allowing arbitrary code execution. The patch [2] has been commited to the 2.2.x branch, but given that the patch is quite simple, I don't think we should wait for a new version to be released. Suggesting this package be closed since we are currently using VLC 2.2.4, which should have the fix in it.
