Details

Typing gedit in a shell as user gives:

gedit: error while loading shared libraris: libeel-2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Typing gedit in a shell as root gives:
bash: gedit command not found

"gedit" is not in /usr/bin

working on a resolution.

for now
pacman -S eel

should solve it.

it does not work for root because /opt/gnome/bin isn't in root's path on your system.
