Description:

After upgrading the Thunderbird package, the starter icon disappears in Cinnamon from my quick bar as well as the application menu.
Restarting Cinnamon fixes the problem, but this does not happen with any other application.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Add Thundebird to the Cinnamon quick start bar
2. Upgrade Thundebird
3. Notice that the icon vanishes and is also not available in the applications menu

This is a bug in cinnamon-menus. This has been fixed a long while ago in gnome-menus, but since cinnamon doesn't follow gnome development this bug is still present in cinnamon.

Moved task from thunderbird to cinnamon-menus as per Jan's comment.

It's an upstream bug, so we can't do anything. I think it's already reported to upstream:
https://github.com/linuxmint/Cinnamon/issues/4498

Please follow the upstream report, and feel free to request to reopen this task, if it's solved by upstream.
