Description:

KDE SC System Settings (KDE SC 15.04.3) fails to save/restore proper screen settings after reboot, esp. with dual head.

When operating with dual head and the natural order of the screens reversed, KDE SC does not restore the saved settings properly, so that both screens (heads) become unified, or reversed, or some other with display settings faults, apparently each time different.

Pls: If upstream problem, tell me, I will report there if that makes sense. If archlinux update is pending in queue, please info.

Additional info:
* kdebase-lib is 15.04.3-1

Steps to reproduce:
* Set the order of the two displays reversed in the KDE SC System Settings (second one left of the first one, primary).
* Save the settings as default.
* Reboot.
* Result: Something is garbled, depending on your luck. Apparently in no case it will come up as intended.

KDE SC doesn't exist anymore. Are you using Plasma 5 or KDE4 workspace?

Plasma 4.

Then I'm afraid this will never be fixed, as plasma 4 is essentially unmaintained. Have you tried using kscreen4?

Oh, I didn't know kscreen still exists and has to be installed manually.
Cool, that's a solution :-) Thank you very much.
