FS#4590 - udev 091-3 rule change breaks loading prism54 firmware
|
DetailsAfter upgrading to udev 091-3 my prism54 PC card no longer loads its firmware. I get these kernel messages:
eth0: resetting device... eth0: uploading firmware... prism54: request_firmware() failed for 'isl3890' eth0: could not upload firmware ('isl3890') eth0: islpci_reset: failure Udev 091-2 doesn't have this problem. Tpowa did some 'fixed some rules' and that seemed to cause it. Using stock arch kernel 2.6.16.14-2 on an old IBM thinkpad 600X. |
