DetailsRen'py crashes when building with
/usr/share/renpy/lib/linux-i686/pythonw does not exist This is becasue the arch linux package does not include the lib subdirectory, nor any symlinks to equivalent files nor any modifications to make it search in a different location, this essentially breaks renpy completely and thus makes the package useless and/or redundant as one would have to download renpy manually in order to build projects with it. Further information: This bug has been reported by other users to ren'py developers who point out that distribution maintainers will repackage renpy without the lib subdirectory, since this subfolder contains files essential for core functionality (building projects) this seems like a counter intuitive move. I have only tested the x86_64 version but presumably it happens on all architectures. More importantly, I consider this a bug in the sense that it's a bug in the package, not a bug in the software per se. (It's definitely not a feature or support request and it's a bit above a general gribe as core functionality is broken) |

The package is in no way broken. The lib subfolder only contains binaries and is not present in the source code from which this package is built, nothing has been stripped at all. In any case, I am certainly not adding those files in the package, there's a reason why no distro does... I just created renpy-sdk in AUR, and it will stay there.
