Details

$ sudo pacman -Qs dcron
local/dcron 3.1-2
Dillon's Cron Daemon

The /var/log/cron file reports the following:

07-May-2006 08:39 /usr/sbin/crond V3.1 dillon, started
07-May-2006 08:39 Unable to scan directory /etc/cron.d!

Previous logs do not reveal this entry:

02-May-2006 19:35 /usr/sbin/crond V2.9 dillon, started
02-May-2006 20:01 USER root pid 7627 cmd /usr/sbin/run-cron /etc/cron.hourly

As I have no such directory on my system should one have been added on my part?

Seems to be fixed in latest version:

$ sudo pacman -Qs dcron
local/dcron 3.1-3
Dillon's Cron Daemon

And the cron log:

08-May-2006 08:05 /usr/sbin/crond V3.1 dillon, started
08-May-2006 09:01 FILE /var/spool/cron/root USER root pid 6103 cmd /usr/sbin/run-cron /etc/cron.hourly
