I guess globbing used to make bash ignore that empty for loop, but now generates an error.

Hum, forget that. Manpages used to be there and now aren't. Perhaps our new toolchain does not include some specific (version of some) program that is required to generate these?

Needs doxygen in makedepends, ever since.

Edit: err, nope. It's an issue with Perl 5.22 ("Can't use 'defined(@array)'"), upstream should fix it.
