Description:
I don't find the h264 codec in the list of the video codecs in the interface of avidemux,

it's not normal because with the previous version I can find the h264 codec ( mpeg4 AVC ) in avidemux,

maybe avidemux has been built without the h264 option :

http://www.avidemux.org/admWiki/doku.php?id=build:compiling_avidemux

Additional info:
* package version(s) avidemux-cli 2.5.6-11 avidemux-qt 2.5.6-11

* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:
- install avidemux-cli and avidemux-qt ( or avidemux-gtk )
- you will notice that h264 codec is missing inside avidemux

the solution is to rebuild packages avidemux-cli, avidemux-qt, avidemux-gtk,

I have solved the bug by simply rebuilding these packages, so the maintener of these packages should rebuild them

Does rebuilding in a clean chroot fix it or is there new deps/makedeps needed?

no new deps/makedeps, just a rebuild of the packages with the same PKGBUILD file,

sometimes we need to rebuild some packages if a new version of dependencies ( libs ) has been released after the initial build of the package ( vlc package has the same problem when ffmpeg is updated sometimes )

I just built avidemux-cli and avidemux-gtk from source, and sure enough...there it is. One can only assume the reason this hasn't been fixed is because it takes at least 20 minutes to build each package.
