After upgrade to the last version of kernel (2.6.16.14-1), linux doesn't boot on my laptop. After grub I got a lot of this line:

and after laptop reboots

It's the same thing for me, grub doesn't start archlinux and reboots my laptop.

Same problem here too. Except, I don't get any message. My laptop reboots automatically after 30-60 secs. BTW, I use lilo.

could you please try if this kernel solve that problem:

please report immediatly if it helps, if not kernel 16.14 will be reverted to 4gb only.

ok kernel will be reverted if you like to test if it's fixed in .17 kernel, we probably could introduce 64gb ram suport in .17 kernel again,

kernel26-2.6.17rc3-1.pkg.tar.gz doesn't solve the problem =(

ok thanks for testing,
me notes down, never try to add 64gb ram support for stock kernel.
new 2.6.16.14-2 will appear in 10 minutes.
