Description:
xdg-screensaver does not appear to support cinnamon-screensaver, so mpv (and probably other applications) cannot disable the screensaver. When starting, mpv gives a warning that `[vo/opengl/x11] Disabling screensaver failed.`. I searched and found this: https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues/2063, where it says to try out xdg-screensaver. "xdg-screensaver status" fails with error code 4, and executing the script with sh -x gives the attached log. I inspected the script, and it does not have any handling for cinnamon.

Steps to reproduce:
Running mpv under cinnamon should be enough to get the warning, and then same for the errors with xdg-screensaver.

Is the bug still present? If so please let Cinnamon devs bring this upstream. Nothing to be done in Arch Linux.

I see that xdg-screensaver does not support cinnamon-screensaver yet (handler for org.cinnamon.ScreenSaver D-Bus interface is not implemented yet), so please report this problem to upstream:
