DetailsDescription:
The package description may confuse users. The description on ffmpeg website (https://www.ffmpeg.org/) is "A complete, cross-platform solution to record, convert and stream audio and video.", so maybe we should switch to this one. Additional info: * package version(s) all versions * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: just see the package description. |

I think it'll take more than that to confuse anybody about ffmpeg, but I tend to agree that upstream's description is more correct. About the closure request, which guideline are you referring to? The one that says ~80 characters for descriptions? 82 still counts as ~80 imho. If nobody is against I can change the pkgdesc during the next update.

Couldn't you just drop the "A " from the description? That will save those 2 pesky characters. In fact, thinking about this, I noticed how many package descriptions start with "A ..." or "An ...". Isn't that completely useless and could be omitted? Is it supposed to be a proper sentence?

No vital need for the A, also dropped the cross-platform bit, we don't need it either.
