on the colour selctor screen there is a dropdown menu to select known colours, using any of these will produce the error. On a side note xsession-errors is full of kde related errors about bad windows and QFontPath..... |

This problem is in kdelibs. The variable "$x_libraries" in the configure script gets set to /usr/lib instead of /usr/share.

Oh yeah, now I have discovered that this problem can be fixed by appending --x-libraries=/usr/share to the ./config line in the PKGBUILD. Maybe this should be done for all KDE packages?
