DetailsWhen I start, for example, Gnome's theme manager or keyboard shortcut manager, I get a popup message with the following text on it:
Unable to start the settings manager 'gnome-settings-daemon'. Without the GNOME settings manager running, some preferences may not take effect. This could indicate a problem with Bonobo, or a non-GNOME (e.g. KDE) settings manager may already be active and conflicting with the GNOME settings manager. The applications do actually seem to start without a problem, however I have noticed some weird stuff going on lately, like the Gnome Screensaver not starting with the session, and responding to the "Lock Screen" menu entry but not ctrl-alt-l (which I have bound to it). |

Never mind, please close this... I had blacklisted the ipv6 module earlier, but it seems that Gnome makes very heavy use of IPv6 for some reason.
