Could future opencv builds include the contrib repository? The contrib repo is starting to get more important and has many features that could be useful.

As a side note opencv 3.0 stable is out and the versioning has changed.

The one reason why I would not do this is because these modules do not have a stable API. However, although I personally do not use them I can see some useful stuff in there. Given that we are always on the bleeding-edge I suppose there is no harm to include it if it passes the build. I will take a look.

Thank you for considering it. I recentely built 3.0 with the contrib repo without issue.

It is now in [staging] (along with the flag for the contrib repo) awaiting some rebuilds. It looks like there are some breakages due to the new stuff and I might have to sort them out if the maintainers don't get to it sooner.

edit: There is nothing to sort out and the maintainers have indeed checked things out before me; compat is gone, upstreams will have to update their stuff. I will package both versions separately.
