Details

After a few seconds of playback in XMMS the audio jumps to lightspeed and ends the song in a few seconds (mp3 tested only). This occurs within 40 seconds of playback. The bug doesn't seem to affect mplayer at all. I tried rebooting, clearing pacman cache and reinstalling the alsa packages but with no resolve.

Rolling back to alsa-lib-0.1.10-1 fixed the problem.

is this still valid, here i don't have problems, so please anyone out who can confirm this issue?
have you cleaned your alsa stuff?
