Our long-term plan is to become a Tier1 mirror, carrying all content (which should be required for Tier1:s IMHO).

Thanks, I've added you.

As for mirroring all content: I don't think people are really interested in sources (that's source code mirrored for GPL packages), other (source code that is not available for download so we publish the tarballs) and archive (ancient ISOs from 2002 to 2010 or so). That's all you should be missing and the files in other are mostly downloaded via our package build files and there we hard code our own URL.

If you really want to mirror everything fine, but I don't feel like it's important enough to make it mandatory. It would also increase the disk space requirement for a mirror by approx. 100% for a total of 101GiB right now, while a package + iso mirror only needs <50GiB. I guess we have a rather small footprint in that area (probably not so much in regards to traffic though).

Are you still interested in tier 1 status?
Comment by Niklas Edmundsson (nikke) - Friday, 15 January 2016, 10:56 GMT
Yes.

Syncs are run from poincare.acc.umu.se:
poincare.acc.umu.se has address 130.239.18.154
poincare.acc.umu.se has IPv6 address 2001:6b0:e:2018::154

We intend to mirror all content.

Thank you, I've updated you to tier 1. Please switch to one of the *_tier1 modules on "rsync://rsync.archlinux.org". You'll probably want "rsync://rsync.archlinux.org/ftp_tier1".

Seems to work.

As we want to mirror all content, we use the module kitchensink_tier1.

I think we're done on our end, so you can close this task if you're done with the bits on your side of things.
