Details
Description:
makepkg -s... hangs after all the are installed. It only hangs when there are dependencies. If all dependencies are already installed it doesn't hang. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. makepkg (pacman) 4.2.1 ^C will not break the hang. I wait until the activity stops, ^Z, kill <pid>, fg. The packages are installed correctly. Then I run makepkg again. I wasn't going to report this but I messed up by "rm -rf /etc" last night so had to reinstall everything. It's already hanging. Steps to reproduce: I don't have any steps. I can't tell what's causing it. makepkg -L doesn't log the dependency installs. I have several custom packages installed. |

For all dependency installs? Or just some?

'bash -x makepkg -s' found it in a flash. It hangs on the line
'source /etc/profile'. I fixed my profile mod to be compatible
with a second source of /etc/profile and now it's fine.
