What version of qt4?
Comment by Alejandro Dato (BigDad1) - Saturday, 16 May 2015, 15:20 GMT
Sorry I'm not and average user.

qt4-4.8.6-6

skrooge 1.12.0

Very strange, then, since it's already built with -system-sqlite.

I can confirm the problem (also using Skrooge).

Same packages:
qt4 4.8.6-6
skrooge 1.12.0-1

Could it be some kind of configuration miss within qt4 as it's been working fine until 3.8.10 (ie a double-digit minor version)?

Same here. In my case I am not able to open my file when entering the (correct) password. It worked 2 weeks ago I'm pretty sure.

I have this problem as well after I've upgraded everything to the last available versions (same versions as above)

Let me know if a rebuilt qt4 will fix this: http://pkgbuild.com/~fyan/staging/qt4-4.8.6-7-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

I cannot test it myself since skrooge crashes at startup for me...

No improvements for me with 4.8.6-7 after a reboot. Still the same error.

Same here. Instaling 4.8.6-7 after a reboot the same error.

I have done some further testing, and I've started to believe that it is a bug within Skrooge.

I was able to compile a qt4 application, open a sqlite database file using QtSql and select some simple stuff from it, implying that qt4 itself works fine.

Just small note, maybe it can be interesting:
I have two laptops with arch, one 32 bit and second 64 bit. I confirm the issue only on 64 bit, 32 bit works fine. Both have skrooge-1.12.0-1, sqlite-3.8.10.1 and qt4-4.8.6-6

Fixed upstream by http://quickgit.kde.org/?p=skrooge.git&a=commit&h=dd18ae016fb3eacf4894f30fd0dc15e1187cc53e
but only in the kf5 branch. Not sure if the patch applies to 1.12
