Hi,
for me it freezes only if the source has 6 channels audio streams and 6 channels audio output. If I switch to 2 channels output and same source mplayer works fine.

Confirmed. Once I play it with -channels 2 it works well.

This happened again after pulseaudio (7.0-2 -> 7.1-1)

Now it seems smplayer freeze with both 6 channels and 2 channels , mplayer works fine
smplayer seems broken with pulseaudio, with the above error in the mplayer log
while mplayer itself works
