Description:

MLT seems like it was built without Kdenlive title support and thus it is impossible to add title clips (the dialog opens but OK button is disabled)

Additional info:
* kdenlive 15.04.0-2
* mlt 0.9.6-7
* the exact same problem and a solution to that https://bugs.kdenlive.org/view.php?id=3063
* Severity isn’t medium because this problem blocks the usage of important application features

Steps to reproduce:
Update to the latest available versions and try to add title clips in Kdenlive.

Works fine here, so the support is built. Maybe there's some missing runtime dependency, do you get any error when launched from the terminal?

Worked fine here, too, until the latest update :/ Here’s the shell output.

$ kdenlive
mlt_repository_init: failed to dlopen /usr/lib/mlt/libmltjackrack.so
(libjack.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
libGL error: No matching fbConfigs or visuals found
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
kf5.kxmlgui: Registering action "edit_select_all" under new name "select_all_tracks"
Removing cache at "/home/dirk/.cache/kdenlive-thumbs.kcache"
QCursor: Cannot create bitmap cursor; invalid bitmap(s)
QDBusConnection: name 'org.kde.kglobalaccel' had owner '' but we thought it was ':1.1'
detected kglobalaccel restarting, re-registering all shortcut keys

If you run the configuration assistant, does it say that the title module is available?
and which was the last version that worked?

It doesn’t say anything because the icons are not shown. It is in the options table but I can’t say if it’s working or not because where the icons should be there is only a white space.

But I noticed something: After rebooting for other reasons I just tried and it seems like It is possible to add title clips again. But it only saves font size, font type, font color and text rotation when creating the title even if it is possible to add outline, etc. to the text.

The text blocks get aligned to the top left corner and the font is not anti-aliased and all options except font size, font type and text rotation get discarded.

OK, since the original problem is fixed I'll close this. Please report the other issue upstream to the KDE bug tracker (you may want to wait until Tuesday, 15.04.1 will be released and it has a lot of fixes). About the missing icons: try installing breeze or oxygen-icons
