Description:
Please configure openvpn with enable_x509_alt_username=yes
I tried to use option x509-username-field which is documented in the manual page but only got an error message. Took me a while to find the reason...

Please do. I need this feature badly!

In fact, I need it so badly that I patched the PKGBUILD (attached) to take care of that.
