DetailsDescription: After the update from 8.0.2-1 to 8.0.3-2 accessing the owncloud webinterface showed a message to complete the update. I had to manually click a button or run a script before owncloud was back in operational state. I would expect pacman to do all required operations for the update - or, if this is technically not possible - to show a warning in the update log.
Additional info: * owncloud 8.0.3-2 Steps to reproduce: Run the update as stated above. |

If the software itself tells you, why would pacman need to as well?

I usually do not visit the owncloud webpage after a pacman system update. So I at least would expect a warning during the pacman update process. In my case, a user of the owncloud notified me, that pacman left the owncloud in an unusable state.

If I were to upgrade owncloud, I'll definitely check for any consequences. Also, if you maintain a web system, you can't just update (in this case overwrite) and expect that it would always be 100% intact after that. Still, there is one annoying part which kinda bothers me. After updating owncloud, for safety reasons, it disables all the owncloud apps until and after updating the database. This is probably not going to change anyway.
