Description: Since the 7zip-filemanager has been removed from the p7zip-package (for details see  FS#44619  and https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/commit/trunk?h=packages/p7zip&id=dfbc8a1d1b7bd6a3be96b971cd7cca2b6728cbc8) and the packager refers to alternative GUIs such as kdeutils-ark I miss a right-click menu item to compress into a 7zip-archive.

Please feel free to apply the attached diff to ark_addtoservicemenu.desktop and try out if it works for you; here it works well ;)

Reason for closing:  Upstream

This should be sent upstream, Arch doesn't patch packages for new features

I am afraid that this would not be implemented upstream since the service menu item was provided by p7zip until revision 9.38.1-2 and we lost it in revision 9.38.1-3. I think we don't get a solution, I will keep my user service menu alive so long as it works for me, supposed it would be also useful for others who suffer under the loss of the 7zip filemanager. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Have you considered uploading it to kde-apps.org? This way people could easily install it via GHNS
