Steps to reproduce:

1.- Open any text file normally from Files (nautilus)
2.- Open another text file from gedit
3.- The focus is in the last opened file
4.- Close the unfocus text file without to get focus on it
5.- Open another text file from gedit
6.- The focus is in the last opened file
7.- And close the unfocus text file without to get focus on it
8.- And BOOOOM gedit closes

Log? Can you reproduce opening gedit from a terminal, where you can get error info?
