FS#4461 - g77 vs gfortran
|
Details
gfortran is slowly replacing g77 as the main fotran
compiler, however it is still *very* buggy. Could the gcc
packagers please enable g77 as well (I'm not sure if it is
included in the 4.0 series) or provide a 3.3 series package?

g77 is no longer in the gcc 4.0 package, so this would mean we
should include gcc 3.x on our distribution. Since gfortran depends
on the base of gcc also, it would mean that we would have to
package two versions of gcc and all the things that belong to it.
This is not going to happen.
