Details

The gaim, giftoxic, glade-2, xscreensaver, gimp and screem package are putting the desktop file in the /usr/share/applications folder. They must put the .desktop into the /opt/gnome/share/applications folder.

I know some of those packages probably aren't yours, dorph. Just pass the bug along if other maintainers need to modify some packages.

i am not sure this should be an bug, the applications aren't depending on gnome.
so my thougth is that these should stay in /usr/share/applications, else an /opt/gnome/share/applications will be made for files that aren't even used.

Okay, thanks arjan, that makes it easier, if they're not used, I won't worry about this now, not worth the extra attention for each pkg.
