With spice-gtk3 0.27-1 and gnome-boxes 3.16.0-1, guest operating systems will not recognize smartcards unless the '--enable-smartcard' option is passed at build time. See this bug for discussion: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=747600 Steps to reproduce: Install gnome-boxes and configure a VM. Enable USB redirection of Smartcard reader. Guest operating system will see Smartcard reader device, but will be unable to recognize that a card is inserted. |
