[ 777.047] (EE) Server terminated with error (1). Closing log file.

I have neither an xorg.conf file, nor fragments of it.
I'm not sure what broke it, since I upgraded lots of packages at once. Last time I used it (about two months ago) it was working.
This happens in a KVM virtual machine using the standard VGA virtual video adapter:

Any news on this issue? Still happening after the last updates.
Comment by Colin Ballast (coballast) - Wednesday, 17 June 2015, 01:31 GMT
When I upgraded from 1.17.1-7 to 1.17.2-1 I encountered the exact same issue with a similar error log as the one above. I am on a 64 bit machine though. The bug information should probably be updated to include both architectures. Also, my video card is an ATI Radeon X300, and I think it might be due to just having such an old ATI card. I will upgrade it as soon and hopefully it won't need to be fixed.

We had several updates around kernel/Xorg/mesa/driver packages. Please ask to reopen or file a new one if you are still affected.
