Hi! I have a problem with slow usb transfer speeds which is caused by gnome-volume-manager automounting the usb sticks sync instead of async. When I transfer data, the indicator light for the stick lights up intermittently, which means that the stick is mounted sync.

To test, I disabled gvm and made an fstab entry for usb stick with async option and mounted it manually. Data transfer is now fast and async because data transer happens after I click on the unmount button.

This happens with memory cards and USB sticks smaller than 256MB. I think I'll patch the code to make it lower than 64MB.
