Details
Description:
Version 1.0.3-3 of xorg-fonts-misc fixed Additional info: * package version(s): xorg-fonts-misc 1.0.3-3 ttf-droid 20121017-4 * config and/or log files etc. I don't know, which configs or logs can help to resolve bug, please, suggest if needed. Maybe, it's important to know information about videocard: $ lspci | grep VGA 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09) Steps to reproduce: 1. Install ttf-droid 20121017-4 and xorg-fonts-misc 1.0.3-3 packages. 2. Open some application, which shows text in italic and bold fonts: for example, web page https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fonts in Firefox. Italic and bold fonts are bad-readable here. Possible workarounds: 1. Downgrade to xorg-fonts-misc 1.0.3-2 and set pacman to ignore this package. 2. Install another TTF package: I tried ttf-dejavu, ttf-oxygen, ttf-bitstream-vera -- all they seem to work correctly. |

This works well with my setup so it could be a bug in ttf-droid
pkg (file placement seems to look ok to me) or with your font
configuration setup.
Configs in my /etc/fonts/conf.d are attached. I've never changed
them manually.
Is this problem still present with xorg-fonts-misc 1.0.3-6? If
not, it may be time to close it.
