Please check with 3.14.37 and look for upstream reports.

Since it wasn't repeateble and I am not acquainted with the kernel mailinglists I didn't report it.
Do you think it would be worth it now?

If it's not reproducible we should close this one. If it ever happens again try to find out how to reproduce and save your logfiles. Then report it to the kernel bugzilla.
