Details

In the past few days i've noticed that there's some issues with sound. No sound plays with flash, Rosegarden can't record audio and arts is playing up.

I've tried downgrading udev to see if it's that. Not sure what it is, i'd try downgrading teh kernel but not sure which to go to since there was an issue with the 2.6.16.1-5/-6 kernels.

kernel26 2.6.16.2-1
udev-089-2
alsa-lib 1.0.10-1

Thanks

2.6.16.2 has an fix for audio issues so it should work,
what soundcard are you using?
you could also try kernel building without alsa patches.

Seems to be playing up here, I'm using an Audigy (emu10k1 driver).

Any other sugestions, anything i can try to figure this out?

My sound works fine in amarok etc (gst & xine plugins).

kernel includes rc4 of alsa, perhaps you can dig through alsa ML or bugtracker.

Seems to be a problem with rosegarden rather than the kernel since ardour is working fine, will close and open new report for rosegarden.

Thanks
