DetailsDescription:
After upgrading xorg-xinit from 1.3.4-1 to 1.3.4-2, there were some weird effects: - some (cinnamon) keyboard shortcuts didn't work (e.g. open terminal, adjust volume), others did (switch workspace) - some gtk programs, when started, used an old gtk2-ish interface - SSH_AUTH_SOCK which I set in .xinitrc is not available. Additional info: * package version(s): Everything except xorg-xinit is up to date. * config and/or log files etc. There is no Xorg.*.log. If you tell me what to grep for in the journal, I can post that. |

I just noticed that the volume keys etc suddenly stopped working (nothing happens when I press them), without having restarted the X session. I found a <defunct> [cinnamon-launch] process in ps aux output, maybe it's caused by that. Thus there must be a secondary source for this problem. But xinit must play a role, too, because with 1.3.4-2, this happened directly when starting the session. Hope that information helps :)
