Hmm, I cannot reproduce this on my system, I get access to a samba server fine. Also, browsing works as intended, though slow, but that's not different with native windows clients anyways.

Update:
2.14.0-3 works fine. But it needs 5+ minutes from login time to browse windows network. I verified this 3 times from reboot. 2.14.0-2 and earlier are able to browse windows network straight away from login. So is this still a bug?

Neither can I reproduce this.
hans, can you confirm gnome-vfs-daemon running at the time you cannot browse your windows network ?
If not, start one. If it is running kill it and start a new one. Looks to me like a problem initializing the gnome-vfs-daemon.

Yeah, gnome-vfs-daemon runs all the time from login. If you kill it, it just respawns back instantaneously.

Is this still an issue with gnome-vfs 2.14.2?
Comment by hans (kryo) - Monday, 26 June 2006, 15:21 GMT
Just upgraded to gnome-vfs 2.14.2-1.

I'm afraid it remains an issue.

Still needs 5+ minutes from login to be able to browse windows network.

I'm using this feature everyday on my work and I don't have any problems with it.
