DetailsDescription: I am testing Gnome 3.16 from the Gnome-Unstable repository. I understand it is unstable and breakages are expected. I am reporting this to assist the in smooth transition to 3.16 when marked as stable.
The following looks like a packaging bug. gnome-unstable/clutter-1.21.8-1 requires testing/libinput-0.12.0-1 gnome-unstable/mutter-3.15.91-1 requires extra/libinput-0.11.0-1 Additional info: With clutter-1.21.8-1, mutter-3.15.91-1 and libinput-0.11.0-1 gdm (gnome-shell) fails to start with the following in the journal: Mar 20 17:59:31 Ethan gnome-session[558]: gnome-shell: error while loading shared libraries: libinput.so.10: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory With clutter-1.21.8-1, mutter-3.15.91-1 and libinput-0.12.0-1 gdm (gnome-shell) fails to start with the following in the journal: Mar 20 18:09:30 Ethan gnome-session[551]: gnome-shell: error while loading shared libraries: libinput.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory It would appear that mutter-3.15.91-1 was built against libinput-0.11.0-1 instead of libinput-0.12.0-1 Cheers. |
