DetailsDescription:
I have done a "pacman -Syu" on 14 Mar 2014. Then I observed that playing videos on www.youtube.com did not work. I had sound, but video showed only a still image. When I seeked, the video was updated to the image I seeked to, but when I tried to just play the video it remained still. All this happened on firefox 36.0.1-1 Chrome did not exhibit this. I also found that if I only have one Firefox window and one tab only, then it worked. As soon as I had multiple tabs, it stopped working. I have downloaded to Firefox 36.0-1, which is what I used for a good week, it worked again. Strictly speaking I downgraded 2 packages [root@bud pkg]# pacman -U firefox-36.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz firefox-i18n-hu-36.0-1-any.pkg.tar.xz loading packages... warning: downgrading package firefox (36.0.1-1 => 36.0-1) warning: downgrading package firefox-i18n-hu (36.0.1-1 => 36.0-1) but I only use English locale. I used the latest Flashplugin in both cases: 11.2.202.451-1 I use fvwm-2.6.5-4 window manager. Not sure if this can contribute to this. Some other people seemingly found something similar: http://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/2yemir/v36361_crashing_a_lot/cp926b3 I hope Mozilla will fix this. That reddit link mentions later that Firefox 37 looks better. Not sure, but if I am not alone with this, I think we should either upgrade further, or perhaps remove 36.0.1 and go back to 36.0. Just my 2 cents. Cheers, Gabor Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: |

Does it work with html5 instead of flash?
Just FYI: 36.0 also exhibited the bug during the course of today, albeit it ever occurred once, where 36.0.1 is far worse.
I decided not to roll back to 36.0 now, but see if I can survive on HTML5. Thankfully mostly I use youtube for video.
I will keep the bug open for a couple of days just to find out if I am alone with it.
