Details

Description:
Empathy auto-away does not work in gnome-shell when the screen is locked.

Additional info:
* gnome-shell: 3.14.3-2
* empathy: 3.12.7-2


Steps to reproduce:
1. Start gnome-shell
2. Start empathy and login to a empathy account and switch to online
3. Lock the screen with Super+L
4. Check you online status with an other account on a different computer

Is:
* Account is still online

Expected:
* Account is shown as away

Can the original opener of this ticket get back to me on whether this is still an issue or not? This may have been fixed upstream since this ticket was opened. Your response is greatly appreciated.

It is not fixed. There is however a bug report https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=742720

You may find it easier in these cases to just check empathy git log to check if a bug is fixed or not.
