Hi there,
We've setup a new public Arch Linux mirror located in Syros island, Cyclades, Greece [GR], following the Eastern European Time (EET) and is hosted in datacenter infrastructure of University of the Aegean, member of the Greek Research & Technology Network "GR-NET" (NREN responsible for the provision of advanced e-infrastructure services to the Greek Academic and Research Community). The name of tier 1 mirror we are syncing from: gwdg.de (More precisely: ftp5.gwdg.de)
Thanx!
Added anyway, I hope you'll fix this soon.
Thank you for the instant reply.
Space is no problem for now, so we'd like to support the community by releasing the repository in full specs.
We use the options -rtLqH --whole-file --bwlimit=0 --compress --delete-after --delay-updates --safe-links --max-delete=1000 for the rsync but sometimes it seems that the log (verbose output) hangs a bit, or the full files are not all completed.
If you have any suggestion or idea that would help us on having all settings well, we'd be very pleased.
Please let us know if anything else is needed!
With regards,
on behalf of the team
On my mirror I use this script[1]. Should be easy to adapt and you can remove the http check if you like (it saves ~5MiB of metadata traffic if there are no changes). I have it so that I can run the cronjob more often without incurring too much server load.

Thanx for the reply,
We'll double-(and triple)-check the files again.
As for your question, the above options are just all the options we use on our rsync and we put cron two times / day for now, but we have also done several rsyncs manually as well.
We hope that all would be nice and smooth, please do not hesitate to reach us again if anything comes up as a hint or suggestion!
With kind regards,
on behalf of the team
In the catalogue, it says that we do not offer ISOs (Has ISOs = No). Can this be updated -or- checked if sure is ok? We are quite certain that we have ISOs too!
Thank you again!!
