is this solved ?
Comment by paul (paul1) - Wednesday, 12 April 2006, 21:14 GMT
Upgraded to 2.14.1, Not solved

upgraded gnome-vfs (2.14.0-2 -> 2.14.0-3)
upgraded gnome-screensaver (2.14.0-1 -> 2.14.1-1)

I will ask on the gnome mailing list...

PS using a custom kernel and the i810 driver from testing, however the error is with libgnomevfs so I don't think those are causing the problem

I have asked about this on http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/screensaver-list, Jon replied "The gnome-screensaver daemon does not use gnome-vfs. Are you using Ubuntu? Last I checked they were patching gnome-menus to use gnome-vfs but weren't initializing it."

He then asked me to open a bugzilla bug, which I have done.

We're using ubuntu's patch in gnome-menus yes, so I guess this applies to archlinux aswel.

in that case, would you be able to "initialize" the ubuntu patch?
