Kernel 3.19 and 3.19.1 both crash in drm/i915 with

WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 82 at drivers/gpu/drm/drm_irq.c:1121 drm_wait_one_vblank+0x154/0x160 [drm]()
vblank not available on crtc 0, ret=-22

This has been fixed upstream, a patch is available but has not been applied to the stable tree due to a simple missing cc to the stable team :(

Could we please apply the patch as long as they don't get it in to the mainline kernel?

still valid in 3.19.3. This seems to be much more stubborn than I thought. I reopened the bug upstream:
