DetailsDescription: I have an ASUS P7P55D PRO mother board and the fan never changes speed, regardless of CPU temperature. I've found this old thread[1] on opensuse forums stating exactly the same problem, which they said was solved 2010, although I do have the problem.
Additional info: Linux version: 3.18.6-1 The attached files contains the results of the commands. AFAIK fan control is done by BIOS. According to dmesg you're running a first release BIOS on your mainboard. Asus has released over 10 new BIOS versions for your mainboard.
